A law firm focused on the real estate sector.

The Agency Portal provides the technology. We provide legal services.

Riverstone Partners Legal is a law firm with a focus on the real estate sector which operates in every state and territory. We are stakeholders in the sale contract, holding deposits for buyers and sellers in a regulated, fidelity fund protected trust account ready for settlement. This is an alternative to the deposit being held by the real estate agency.

Why do this? Simply we deliver legal oversight paired with world class technology that reduces the risks that come with collecting and holding sale deposits. It’s why real estate agencies are using Riverstone Partners Legal instead of holding deposits in their own trust account.

Working in the office

Regulated trust account protection

All deposits are securely are paid into a dedicated legal trust account operating under strict statutory guidelines of the Law Society of each state and protected by The Law Society Fidelity Fund of each state.

Streamlined settlement

A new way, with tried and tested methods to safely and securely pay and hold a sale deposit in a regulated legal trust account.

Risk reduction

Thanks to innovative digital systems and partnership with PEXA,  Aust Payments Plus (Bpay & PayTo), we minimise the cyber-security, human error and fraud risks associated with fund transfers for residential property sales.

Our Independence Commitment.

To guarantee absolute neutrality and integrity in every transaction, Riverstone Partners Legal maintains strict operational boundaries.

We do not act for the buyer.

We do not represent purchasers or provide them with legal advice.

We do not act for the vendor.

We do not represent sellers or advocate on their behalf.

We do not perform conveyancing.

We do not offer conveyancing or property transfer services and we never will.

Our sole responsibility is to serve as the neutral, independent stakeholder authorised to collect and hold deposit moneys safely under the terms of the sale contract. Because we do not act for either party in the conveyancing process, our independence is preserved from contract signing to final settlement.
